Creating a Space for Healing Together
Let's get to know each other
Thank you for being here. I’m Courtney Butler, and it’s an honor to hold space for you as you navigate your path.

Vulnerability and transparency aren’t always valued in the therapy world… but I guess that’s your first sign that I’m not your average therapist.

I once heard the quote, “Those who have walked through the fire can hold the light for others,” and I’ve carried that with me over the years.

I’ll be the first to admit—life has tested me in ways I never expected. From an early age, I felt the weight of uncertainty and self-doubt, often feeling lost in the chaos around me. But even in those moments, I was drawn to healing—to understanding, to helping, to finding meaning in the struggle.

I knew one thing for sure: I didn’t want my past to define me. Instead, I chose to turn my challenges into purpose, using my experiences to cultivate a deeper sense of compassion for both myself and others.
Several years ago, I stepped away from what I thought life should be and followed my intuition toward true healing. Now, I blend my personal growth, professional training, and deep trust in the healing process to help others navigate their own journeys with clarity and care.

I believe everyone deserves support on their journey to healing—whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply looking for a deeper connection with yourself. You don’t have to have it all figured out; I’m here to walk alongside you as you find your path forward.

I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Illinois State University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois, with over 12 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Along the way, I’ve earned certifications in Trauma (CCTP) and Mental Health & Nutrition (CMNCS), and became a Certified Life Coach. But beyond the titles and credentials, my passion lies in blending traditional therapy with holistic, integrative practices that nurture the whole person—mind, body, and soul.

That’s why I founded Mindful Path. I saw the limitations in our healthcare system—how often it focuses on just one piece of the puzzle. Here, we do things differently. Whether we’re working one-on-one, in a group setting, virtually, or in person, my approach is laid-back but interactive. I’m here to empower you to take back your life while providing the tools and support you need to thrive.

I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, addiction recovery, trauma, self-esteem struggles, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I have a deep understanding of the recovery process, including cross-addictions and the impact on families, and I’m well-versed in the 12-step approach. But no matter what brings you here, my goal is the same: to help you reconnect with your true self, break free from past burdens, and create a life that feels aligned and fulfilling.

Therapy doesn’t have to be boring, scary, or something you only turn to when life feels unmanageable. At Mindful Path, it’s about finding hope, lightening life’s load, and building resilience before things get too heavy. I’ll meet you exactly where you are, and together, we’ll uncover the root causes, explore natural, sustainable solutions, and create meaningful change—one step at a time.

If you’re ready to find clarity, balance, and a renewed sense of purpose, I’m here to walk that path with you.
